Land Transport Masterplan

In 2008, Singapore’s Minister for Transport, Mr Raymond Lim, announced policy reviews and changes for the various modes of land transport (trains, buses and private cars) as part of the comprehensive Land Transport MasterPlan which aims to develop a people-centred land transport system.
It outlines the plans to attract more people to travel by public transport and manage increasing car ownership and traffic congestion on the island in the face of a growing population.
